What Your Funny T Shirt Says About You - Shopping - Fashion Style

You may not realize it, but the t shirts you wear can tell others a lot about you. Like, for instance, that you have a good sense of humor.

But, obvious impressions aside, it actually goes much deeper than that. Let's look at a few examples:

Beer / Alcohol

The "I like to party and I don't care who knows it" person. Those who wear shirts advertising alcohol are big party people. They live for the weekends and having a wild time. They out for a good time and usually up for anything.

Pop Culture

The "I am cool because I watch TMZ" person. The one who wears any shirt referring to some current pop culture event likes to be seen as someone who is "in the know." They are up to date on what the celebrities are doing and want everyone to know it.

Obscene - Offensive

The "I love to p*ss people off" person. The one who wears these shirts is rebellious and independent. They really don't care who they offend. In fact, the more offended the person, the better.

Sexual Innuendo

There are two groups who wear these shirts. Men and women.

Men

The "I'll sleep with anyone who is desperate enough to think I'm funny" guy. This guy is lost when it comes to meeting women and thinks he'll "get some" with his funny t shirt for men. It doesn't matter how rarely this works. He keeps trying because he doesn't have any other ideas.

Women

The "I want attention from men" girl. She's not out for a real hook-up. She's just looking for guys to notice her, flirt with her, and buy her drinks.

Now, if you're reading this and find yourself offended because you love to sport one of these t shirts, don't be. These are just generalizations. Besides, if you really look deep, you will probably find that there is a little bit of truth in the statement that offended you.

Plain T Shirt

The "I don't want to be noticed" person. The person who wears a plain white t shirt, or blue, red, black, green, etc., is a watcher. A wallflower, if you will. They, too, like to be comfortable, but don't really have anything to say.

But, putting all of this psychology aside, be honest. Don't you find yourself doing anything you can to read an entire shirt before it, and the person wearing it, get away? Most of us do.

This is a type of voyeurism that is acceptable. We know if we get to read that entire shirt, we'll get a glimpse into the psyche of the person wearing it. And we don't have to be as ashamed about it.

Have you ever noticed that there are more funny t shirts for men than there are for women? Is that because guys are more interested in making a statement? Or because women are more interested in reading them?

We may never know. But, funny t shirts do make that trip to the grocery store or the market a lot more interesting, don't they?
